Carrot Cake Smoothie

Makes ~3 cups, Time: 10 minutes

I know what you're thinking.... FINALLY! Dessert for brekkie.

Boston inspired this one. The one I had there was more like a milkshake and less like a smoothie.

This smoothie is so perfect I didn't even need to add dates or honey.

Is that carrot on the rim cheesy or what? I am totally regretting that outfit for this smoothie. #amateurhour

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend to desired consistency.
  2. Add more water or ice to get it to your desired thickness.

*Frozen bananas add a lot of creaminess to smoothies. I buy 2 bushels of bananas at a time, let them get really ripe.

Then I peel them, break in half, and store in a gallon bag in the freezer. They will never go bad in there.

Ingredients:

2 bananas, frozen

2 small carrots (not the baby ones, they taste different. But if that's all you've got go for it)

8 pecans

1/4 c plain coconut yogurt (unsweetened)

2/3 c almond milk (plain or vanilla unsweetened)

8 cardamom seeds

1 T flax seeds

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp vanilla
