#17: Get cho green on

Happy belated Earth Day! Yesterday I made the most delicious green smoothie, in honor of earth day, and had to share it! This is different than a lot of the smoothies that I have made in the past because this one is majority vegetables and has not honey, agave, dates, nada! It is so naturally sweet and perfect, it just tastes and feels like you are about to have a fantastic day.

Mean n' Green Morning Smoothie

*This was made in a Vitamix, but any other blender would work.

Ingredients

1 banana (frozen or not, I prefer frozen, I like my smoothies thick and really cold!)

1-3 handfuls of power greens (spinach, kale, baby kale, romaine, whateva you got)

2-3 carrots

2-3 stalks of celery

1/2 a cucumber

1-2 inch piece of ginger (spice it up)

8-12 leaves of fresh mint (the combo of mint and ginger is crazy refreshing)

Ice & H2O (to bring it to desired temperature and consistency)

*I think that half of a lemon would also be amazing in this smoothie, brighten it up even more.
